Angel Food Ministries here at Christ Lutheran Church is a non-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality food for half the price of grocery stores. Angel Food’s groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit in a medium-size box at per unit. Each month’s menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail price of approximately 50 to 70 dollars.

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is the same high quality you would purchase at the grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or outdated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day old bread and no produce that is almost too ripe. Also offered are ‘specials’ such as steak, chicken and pork. Many participants in this program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or ‘specials’ an individual may purchase. The grocery are sold at a unit price of 30 dollars, and consists of Fresh, frozen and box goods with an average retail value of approximately 50 to 70 dollars. There is also the Senior/Convenience Box for 28 dollars.

A recent change in the Angel Food policy now allows for the purchase of any item, special boxes and Signature boxes alike, with no limits or pre-buy requirements. Simply put, you no longer need to buy a Signature Box, Allergen Free or Senior Meal box to qualify for the produce, Grill and Meat boxes, or whatever else the specials may be.

Angel Food is open to everyone who appreciates a deep discount on quality groceries, there are no restrictions, no applications, no income requirements. Angel Food Ministries, like the US Food Stamp program, uses the off-line food stamp voucher system.

We can only accept cash, money orders (made payable to Christ Lutheran Church) and SNAP cards at the church. Orders must be paid at the time the order is made. Orders will also be taken during normal business hours in the church office, please call ahead if you are using an SNAP card.

Credit/debit card users need to be aware of a 2.00 service charge with each purchase.



All orders and delivery will take place at the host site - Christ Lutheran Church, 126 West Main Street, Dallastown, PA in Fellowship Hall. Please park behind the church and enter the New Worship Center door. Bring a box for your items and your reciept. It is your responsibility to make sure you all items ordered and to take them with you. We will donate all items not picked up by our closing time to those in need.

If you have a servant’s heart and would like to join our volunteer team to help fill orders and carry boxes of food to cars, we have a spot for you. It is hands on rewarding, and only requires a few hours one Saturday per month.
